As a Field Geologist, Clayton performs on-site sample monitoring and collection duties at brownfield sites. His field work involves the collection of water, soil, and ash samples and the use of appropriate field equipment to aid in the analysis of the samples. He also analyzes collected sample data to generate reports. Clayton routinely observes construction practices at former coal fired plants to help document the cleanup and remediation efforts on-site.
Clayton has over 6 years of experience in the geotechnical and environmental geology fields. His technical background includes work in the oil field as well as work conducting soil and construction material strength and stability testing in the lab and in the field. Clayton holds bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Environmental Science from Miami University. Clayton also received a master’s degree in Biology focusing on Environmental Stewardship and water quality from Miami University.
