As Vice President of Geosciences and Engineering, Barry performs and oversees a variety of consulting services ranging from regulatory technical negotiation to groundwater sampling to landfill and pond closure design.
He has experience with site characterization and remediation, environmental and engineering due diligence, regulatory consulting and negotiation, regulatory permitting from RCRA to NPDES, groundwater and surface water modeling, and dam inspections and failure modeling. Barry has provided consulting services to industrial, mining, commercial and governmental clients including the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Department of Energy. He also provides consulting services as a technical expert to multiple legal firms as an expert witness.
Barry is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wyoming, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. He is also a professional geologist registered in Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He is a Certified Professional in Ohio’s Voluntary Action program, and a Certified Person in West Virginia’s mining program. Barry has more than 40 years of experience in the engineering, geoscience, and environmental consulting field. Barry holds a Bachelor’s in Geology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland.
